The New Nissan LEAF is the first Nissan model to fully represent all three areas covered by Nissan Intelligent Mobility – autonomous driving technology, electrification and connectivity.

The new Nissan LEAF, with its improved autonomy range, combined with the evolution of autonomous drive technology, such as ProPILOT Park and the simple operation of the e-Pedal, strengthens Nissan’s EV leadership, as well as the expansion of EVs globally.

Chief Vehicle Engineer Hiroki Isobe, with Aerodynamics engineer Yusuke Iinuma details the improvements and advanced technologies available in the new Nissan LEAF.

Alfonso Albaisa on inspiring the Nissan IMs design



Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president for design at Nissan, gives his thoughts on inspiring the Nissan IMs design at the 2019 North American International Auto Show.

Albaisa explains how the IMs shown in Detroit hints at the design direction of future Nissan electric vehicles. He also discusses how the flat floor on the IMs, made possible by the EV powertrain, allowed the designers to rethink the rear and create an indulgent “Premier Seat.”

The Nissan IMs is a completely new type of car – an “elevated sports sedan” that takes advantage of the packaging, platform and powertrain technology developed through Nissan Intelligent Mobility.

PARIS – Nissan’s toughest pickup has turned volunteer in a new film to mark World Oceans Day 2018 this Friday (June 8) and celebrate community heroes tackling beach plastic pollution.

The film sees the Navara OFF-ROADER AT32 join a campaigning dad-and-daughter team to help them take on their most challenging beach plastic cleanup.

Nissan started the development of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology 20 years ago. Now with ProPILOT 2.0, we are at a point where the driver can trust our technology with a system that is able to support the majority of driving activities on highways.

Tetsuya Iijima, General Manager of AD/ADAS, Nissan Advanced Technology Engineering department, explains Nissan’s philosophy behind ADAS technologies, summarizes the benefits of ProPILOT 2.0 for the driver and shares his vision on the future of autonomous driving.
