Nissan e.dams Formula E team debuts



Nissan’s Formula E program will show a new “performance side” of Nissan Intelligent Mobility – the company’s vision for changing how cars are powered, driven and integrated into society.

As the first Japanese company to enter Formula E, Nissan has drawn on its track record of selling more than 365,000 Nissan LEAF vehicles since introducing the model in 2010. The company has used its experience building electric vehicles for the road to develop the all-new powertrain for its Formula E race car.

Nissan launched the all-new IMQ concept vehicle, an advanced technology and design showcase that signals the direction of the next generation of crossovers.

Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, the IMQ seamlessly blends Japanese heritage with state-of-the-art, human-centric technology. It incorporates the latest innovations that bring to life Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the brand’s vision for the future of automotive transportation. Its styling reflects Nissan’s role as a pioneer and leader in crossovers, with a striking look that pushes the boundaries of what a European crossover can be.

At the heart of the IMQ is the next generation of e-POWER, a 100% electric motor drive system that delivers instant, linear acceleration. It has been further developed from the e-POWER technology currently available in the best-selling Nissan Note and Serena models in Japan.

Nissan's new production technologies for future automobiles



Nissan is rolling out new production technologies globally to make our factories more efficient and sustainable, and to help us build the next generation of electrified, intelligent and connected cars.

Future automobiles will add new complexity to design and construction, requiring major advancements in production engineering.

Following an initial investment of about 33 billion yen ($300 million) at the company’s Tochigi Plant in Japan, with work to finish in 2020, the technologies will be rolled out across factories globally.
